About Me

Hi, I’m Christopher James, Owner and Reiki Master at Ramaste Integrative Healing in Appleton, WI. I have been practicing Energy Work in some form or another for over 15 years.

In my late teens and early adulthood, I developed a strong interest in all things Metaphysical. This took me upon a path which would lead me to realize my own abilities as a natural Healer. I began with my own self, as I knew I would not be able to do as much good if my own instrument was out of tune. So, I learned everything I could about Meditation, Energy Work, the power of thoughts and intention, Shamanic Healing, Ascension philosophy, and of course, Reiki.

I will never forget my first Reiki session, how enveloped in Light I felt and how powerfully, yet gently it radiated into my being, affecting my entire system. I remember thinking ‘THAT’S my next step. I need to learn Reiki.’ So, that’s what I did.

I received my first two Reiki attunements pretty close to each other, in 2010, before I began Ramaste as a side business. I started using Reiki on my friends, family members, coworkers.. anyone that was interested and experienced the benefits. In the Spring of 2017, I received the Reiki Master attunement.

I worked in Healthcare as a Caregiver for several years, serving those with Developmental Disabilities as well as people in Community-Based Retirement Facilities. I then spent some time in other service type industries. Though greatly rewarding, I found that whatever my job, I was not fulfilled unless I felt I was making a meaningful difference for people and improving their quality of life.

After a few years of doing Reiki as a more casual business and helping other Energy Workers stay aligned and charged themselves, I have decided to pursue my passion more fully; to go public and make myself more available to the community where I live.

I am so excited to see how Ramaste develops and I have a ton of pent up ideas in store for the future; from herbal remedies and tea blends, to adventurously flavored chocolate concoctions (made from local Honey to help with seasonal allergies so You can be Your healthiest self!)

I am constantly working to advance my own abilities as my innate curiosity and desire for truth is insatiable. I have learned much over the last couple decades of my journey, but if there is one main thing I have learned it is this: That one can never learn enough and learning should never stop. After all, the Universe is expanding, so there is always more to know! ;)

What is Reiki?

Reiki is Universal Life Force Energy.

What I’ve always Loved about Reiki is its inability to cause harm - it can only do good. Another thing that I Love is that it truly is Universal, in nature and in use; Reiki belongs to no person, religion, group, etc. There is no belief required and Reiki makes no discriminations about who or what it helps. Anyone can learn it, anyone can receive it, and anyone can only benefit from it.

Speaking of benefits, let’s go over some of these! Many experience most of the following benefits, sometimes even well after the session has “ended”. - Reiki keeps giving and has a cumulative and compound effect - Think Dominos, but with Neuro-pathways and Energy Channels.
